$COPR Idaho Copper Corporation has been actively strengthening its position as a critical minerals developer throughout the summer of 2026. In early August, the company bolstered its leadership team by appointing Ryan Mauser as Director of Technical Studies and Phillip J. Bandy Ogden as Director of Environmental, Governmental, and Community Affairs. Mauser brings 15 years of experience from Rio Tinto, adding valuable expertise in mine planning and capital project evaluation, while Bandy Ogden contributes over 35 years of Idaho-specific permitting and regulatory knowledge. These hires come as Idaho Copper prepares to advance its flagship CuMo copper-molybdenum-silver project through updated economic assessments and toward a prefeasibility study.
Earlier in July, Idaho Copper successfully closed an $18 million public offering priced at $4.85 per share, with accompanying warrants, marking a significant capital infusion to support the CuMo project's development. The offering, which began trading on the NYSE American under the ticker $COPR, is intended to fund the completion of an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment and initial prefeasibility work, alongside general corporate needs. This financial boost, combined with the strengthened technical and permitting leadership, positions Idaho Copper to make meaningful progress on one of the largest undeveloped copper and molybdenum deposits in the western hemisphere.
