Gorilla Technology Group Inc. ($grrr) has been making significant strides in the AI infrastructure space this year, marked by two landmark deals that have reshaped its growth outlook. In late June, the company announced a massive $2.5 billion, five-year AI compute infrastructure contract with a global tech client, centered on deploying around 1,000 Nvidia B300 GPU servers at the NeutraDC Batam data center in Indonesia. This deal alone is expected to generate $1.3 billion in revenue over the contract period and reflects Gorilla’s expanding footprint in Southeast Asia’s AI market. The company is actively working with banks to secure financing, having already received offers covering about 70% of the project costs, which is critical to supporting this capital-intensive expansion.
Earlier in June, Gorilla closed a $2 billion AI infrastructure supply agreement with Super Micro Computer ($smci) focused on India’s burgeoning AI data center market. This partnership involves delivering tens of thousands of GPU cards and networking equipment to support Gorilla’s Yotta AI project, with ambitions to extend into broader Asia-Pacific regions. While these deals highlight Gorilla’s rapid growth and strategic positioning in AI compute infrastructure, the market has reacted cautiously. Shares experienced sharp declines following the announcements, primarily due to investor concerns over potential equity dilution amid Gorilla’s $107 million convertible bond offering priced at a 7.5% interest rate. The bond proceeds are intended to fund the equity portion of the data center equipment purchases, but skepticism remains about the company’s ability to finance such large-scale projects without diluting shareholders.
Despite the volatility, Gorilla’s fundamentals show promise. The company reported a 55% year-over-year revenue increase in Q1 2026 and raised its full-year revenue guidance to between $160 million and $200 million. CEO Jay Chandan emphasized that these contracts materially enhance Gorilla’s revenue visibility and validate its regional AI infrastructure strategy, positioning the company for further deployments across Asia and the Middle East. However, the market’s mixed reaction underscores the challenges of balancing rapid growth with financing risks in a capital-heavy industry.
As the market remains closed this Friday evening, investors will be watching closely how Gorilla navigates its financing plans and executes on these transformative contracts when trading resumes on Monday morning.
