Navitas Semiconductor ($nvts) is gaining momentum as a key player in the AI data center and high-power semiconductor markets. Recently, the company’s shares jumped 14% after being selected by the U.S. Army’s ALATTIS program to develop next-generation 10 kV silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor technology. This initiative will focus on creating a domestic manufacturing process for ultra-high-voltage SiC devices, expanding Navitas’ portfolio beyond MOSFETs to include advanced 10 kV SiC IGBTs with patented trench-assisted planar architecture and PiN diode technologies. This government-backed project highlights Navitas’ growing role in critical infrastructure and energy-efficient power solutions.
In addition to government collaboration, Navitas strengthened its strategic position through a $5 million equity investment in Magnachip Semiconductor, reinforcing their partnership to accelerate silicon carbide technology adoption in high-voltage applications. This alliance combines Navitas’ technology and supply chain expertise with Magnachip’s manufacturing capabilities in South Korea, aiming to integrate and qualify Navitas’ GeneSiC Trench-Assisted Planar technology for devices ranging from 1,200 to 3,300 volts and beyond. The partnership targets energy, grid infrastructure, industrial electrification, and automotive sectors, signaling broad commercial potential for Navitas’ power semiconductor innovations.
Wall Street analysts are also optimistic about Navitas’ growth trajectory. At the recent Citi 2026 Global TMT Conference, Navitas management outlined a path to nearly quadruple revenue from $46 million to $200 million in the coming years, driven by rising demand for gallium nitride and silicon carbide chips that improve power conversion efficiency in AI data centers and other high-voltage environments. This growth outlook aligns with the broader industry shift toward more energy-efficient, high-voltage power architectures, where Navitas is carving out a specialized niche.
Moreover, Navitas is part of a broader trend toward 800-volt power distribution platforms in AI data centers, which offer significant efficiency gains over traditional power supplies. Alongside major players like Nvidia and Vertiv, Navitas is developing components that support this emerging standard, positioning itself as a vital contributor to the next generation of data center infrastructure.
With the market closed tonight, investors will be watching how Navitas Semiconductor’s ($nvts) recent government contract, strategic investment, and technology leadership influence its stock performance when trading resumes tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM ET.
